What a fantastic tournament this Online event organised by the OWF for Junior and Youth turned out to be.

60 girls and 58 boys took part from within our region, competing in their own environment. Every lifter who competed was required to send a video of their bodyweight, snatch and clean & jerk. It took a lot of time to check everyone. But it was most certainly worth it.

$12,000 for the females and $12,000 for the males will be given to the top 20 ranked lifters. As previously indicated only the top 20 ranked – Junior or Youth - would receive this prize money.

The results themselves are in many cases simply outstanding.

In the female

• $2000 first place prize went to the young 15 year old superstar, Femily Notte from Nauru. She totalled 260 Kg at a bodyweight of 65kg.
• $1,000 second place prize went to young 16 year old Seine Stowers from Samoa. She totalled 234kg at a bodyweight of 75.9kg
• $700 third place prize went to Avatu Opeloge also from Samoa. Avatu totalled 240Kg at a bodyweight of 81kg.
• 4th place went to 18year old Olivia Selemaia from New Zealand with her best ever performance of 219kg at a bodyweight of 70kg.

And there was so many other excellent performances in the female section which you can all see in the attachment.

In the male:

• 15 year old young lifter from Fiji, Nehemiah Elder took first place $2000 with a sensational performance of 327kg at a bodyweight of 84kg.
• In second place ($1000), with another outstanding performance was Samoan 17 year old Emmanuel Ulimasao with a total of 325 at a bodyweight of 89kg.
• In third place ($700) was another top Junior lifter from Nauru 18 year old Ditto Ika with a total of 277Kg at a bodyweight of 68kg

Again, what a great future the Oceania has with so many youth and junior lifters. Congratulation to all competitors and to all the personal coaches who spend so much time looking after them.
