Commonwealth Championships

Dear Friends,

What a great event the Commonwealth Championships turned out to be in Tashkent. Attached please find the full results.

The CWF is in indebted to the IWF Executive and in particular the President Mike Irani, the General Secretary, Mohamed Jalood and the full IWF Executive Board for allowing the Commonwealth Championships to be run in conjunction with the World Championships. The CWF also wishes to thank sincerely, Sam Coffa, (IWF Technical Delegate to Birmingham) for looking after the medal presentation during the 10 days tournament.

Many thanks also to the IWF Staff, in particular Matyas Lencser for his outstanding co-operation in relation to the entries and also providing the full results.

I congratulate the lifters below and their countries for their direct qualification to the Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
