Dear Friends,

It was a tremendous effort by all countries who took part in the OWF Online Cup tournament last week-end.

All of you did a great job in setting up your venues and even though for many countries it was the first time, you really did go out of your way to make sure that your lifters were able to take part.

Yes, we did have hiccups and challenges with quite a few countries. Unfortunately this is the reality we are facing in the Pacific. We really did feel very sorry for those lifters who did their lifts but got a ‘no lift’ because they lost the signal, or their pictures froze, etc, which also made it very difficult for the referees to judge the lift.

We truly appreciate the response of most of the countries who sent a short note to the OWF expressing their appreciation for the opportunity given to the best lifters in their country to take part in this online tournament.

Also the OWF would like to extend a special thanks to all the officials who assisted with the event especially Bowen Stuart who put the event together.
